Trash Can Valet Services

Santa Cruz Junk Removal is considering adding a Trash Can Valet Service, and before we officially offer it, we want to know how many people in our community would actually be interested. The idea is simple: we take your trash and recycling cans to the curb before your scheduled collection and return them afterward, so you don't have to.

For some people, taking the cans out every week is just another chore. For others, it can be a real challenge. Santa Cruz County has plenty of homes with long driveways, steep properties, private roads, and trash can storage areas located a long way from the street. This service could also be especially helpful for seniors, people recovering from surgery or an injury, individuals with mobility limitations, busy households, vacation properties, or anyone who simply doesn't want to deal with moving heavy cans back and forth every week.

But we want to do things differently from a typical trash can valet company.

Most trash can valet services simply roll your cans to the curb and bring them back. That's where their service ends.

We're also a junk removal and hauling company

​

We all have those weeks when the regular garbage can just isn't enough. Maybe you had a birthday party, barbecue, family gathering, guests staying over, or you're cleaning up after Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, or another holiday. Maybe you received a bunch of deliveries, cleaned out part of the house, or simply produced more trash than usual.

Before you know it, the garbage can is packed, there are extra bags sitting next to it, and the lid won't close.

Depending on your local garbage provider, overflowing cans, open lids, or additional trash outside the cart may require special arrangements or additional charges.

So what do you do with the extra trash?

That's where having Santa Cruz Junk Removal as your trash can valet could be different.

If you're one of our valet customers and have extra bags of trash, boxes, unwanted household items, or junk that won't fit inside your regular cans, we can haul it away for you for an additional charge.

Instead of stuffing everything into an overflowing garbage can, leaving bags sitting around until the following week's collection, or searching for another company to haul it away, you would already have a professional junk removal and hauling company servicing your property.

Cleaned out the garage and have a few extra items that won't fit? We can help with that too.

You wouldn't necessarily need a completely separate service or another company. That's one of the biggest advantages we're considering with this program: combining the convenience of regular trash can valet service with access to an established local junk removal and hauling company whenever you have more than your regular garbage service can handle.

This service could also provide peace of mind for families helping an older parent or relative. If someone has recently had surgery, suffered an injury, has difficulty walking a long driveway, or simply shouldn't be moving heavy garbage cans, having someone reliably handle the cans each collection day could make one less thing to worry about.

We do not offer Trash Can Valet Service yet.

Right now, we're asking our customers and local community whether there's enough interest to bring this service to Santa Cruz County.
